Waiting for the train in Kyoto |
Where should we go next? |
By Eric and Steph
*sigh* Eric with the digidiary again ... hooray. Today we had eight hours of freedom in Kyoto today. I spent my time with Steph, Eri, Elise, Emily, and Maria. I don't want to type much, and Steph gets this next and she'll prolly have stuff better to say, so ... bye
hello, it is steph now. today was awesome! i got to spent the day with eri! i actually met up with her last night, and the very first thing i did was give her a huge hug. we picked up right where we left off; teasing each other and talking like we always used to. it is going to be so much fun to stay 3 weeks with her! she was a very good guide for me, maria, elise, eric, and benwitz sensei (even though she already knew all of kyoto). she took us to the golden temple, but she and i didn't go in, we will at a later date. people said it was gorgeous, though. after that we went to a rock garden where there are 15 rocks, but you can't see them all at once no matter where you stand. after that we went to a big red shrine which name i forgot. there elise got her picture taken by some old people because she was wearing her shinsengumi shirt.
after that we went to the temple with 1001 buddhas. it was awesome, and there were also statues of some gods, too. eri, eric, and i got omikuji! (fortune teller paper things) and we all got good luck ones. i think it is amazing that we got such similar ones. we also got little golden buddha charms. mine turned out to be for good fortune. i can't believe we've been in japan for a week and a half already. alright, going to join into a crazy conversation now. ja ne
