Japan couldn't be described as anything less than amazing. As soon we entered Japan and stepped off the plane, what Nagai Sensei and Emily Sensei taught us was well appreciated. After the long flight, a few of us seemed nervous to have to go right to a stranger’s house to spend the weekend. At least I was terrified, especially since my host parents knew little English. However when I finally met them, they had all the patience in the world, and were soo nice.

All of the host families I met were a little different in customs. For example, how struck they were at eating at the table together compared to eating just when people were hungry. This brings me to one of my most favorite topics of Japan. The food was unforgettable. My new favorite food is shyabu shyabu (spelling?). Finally the sightseeing was amazing. Especially parts were we wandered away from the tourist traps and got to see the core of the Japanese culture. Overall Japan was amazing and I really can't wait to return there someday.
