Daruma sensei explains what to do at the doll factory |
Katie and Jemmy at Kaiten Sushi Restaurant |

Daruma factory:
Allison: the peoples went to this really cool antiques place where there was a guy who makes these good luck wish dolls. It's really cool to see an ancient tradition kept alive. The Daruma dolls are papier-mache dolls that are instilled with the spirit and heart of maker and owner. There was a museum with antique masks and old dishes, etc. Four people bought masks: Allison, Matt, Mike and Jake. After Daruma train ride and long walk we will eat sushi.Sushi Restaurant:
Matt: we went to this sushi bar where the sushi goes around on a conveyer belt. I had salmon sushi, cucumber sushi, this orange egg sushi (kind of like the salmon eggs we use for fishing, I thought it was nasty), shrimp sushi, shrimp tempura sushi, and this chocolate muffin dessert. I also tried ginger, it has a sweet yet somewhat sour taste. Before we had sushi we made Darumas. They like his little statue thingy, we got to paint on the faces and mustaches, I think mine looks like crap.
Tuura- We went to a sushi restaurant and everybody got these 200 yen discount tickets if you bought 7 or more plates of food. I myself bought 8 plates 2 bowls and a dish of in my opinion gross custard it reminded me of runny snotty eggs.
