Everyone at the gate of Imperial Palace |
Everyone in Odaiba |

Tuura- First we backpacked through a crowded subway. After we got to the youth hostel we went for some lunch and shopping. We then thereafter went to a shrine that many WWII veterans go to and we washed our hands and threw in some money and asked for something in return (Wish).
We then proceeded to go to the Imperial grounds, which we went to the Imperial garden. I could stay at the garden ALL day long everyday that it doesn't rain, its so serene/utopic.Allison says the Imperial grounds were pretty. There was a stone foundation that a palace was sitting on but it caught on fire and was never rebuilt. After walking down a really big hill (the imperial palace is on a steep slope so enemies would have a harder chance of penetrating the home of the emperor) After the imperial grounds we walked down more hills and then we stopped at the gardens. So gorgeous! There were bamboo fences along the river and pretty flowers to see. Very pretty.
After taking a short break at the youth hostel which has around 20 floors (we are on the 18th and 19th) we proceeded to travel by subway to get to the Tokyo monorail. The monorail took the group to Palette town, a place where there are several malls and arcades to shop in. There was a big ferris wheel that would take several hours to ride. Nobody had time. There was a mall called Decks and a Color World mall with a section of it that was another mall for shopping for women. The malls were hug, w! I's several floors and hundreds of departments and stores to visit! We then all met at smaller version of Lady Liberty and proceeded to go to the hostel to sleep. All the boys went and took a bath in the gentlemen community bath. The girls took showers and did not enter the bath. There was sleep. And a great sleep did overcome us all, and we were rested.
Mike: There was a pretty cool little earthquake in the morning. I thought it was a train going by at first, around 7:15 in the morning. It was awesome.
