Last night everyone spent time with Yokohama Host Family.
Hey everyone. Kevin here. now we are in Yokohama, at the high school we'll be at all day. last night we met our host families and mine is pretty awesome. the son is my age and doesn't speak much English. my father doesn't speak English, but my sisters and mom are pretty good. I really like this host family, and I look forward to spending more time with them. bye for now.
Larry - Yesterday I met my Yokohama host family. My host brother is very shy and quiet, and he speaks a little English. My host mother, however, speaks fluently. For dinner, I had teppenaki. It was delicious, however we had "nattou," which was terrible. Nattou is a fermented soybean goo. Eww. Breakfast was ham and eggs. I also had my first piece of toast and jam which made me a bit homesick, though I survived. So far, the high school is terrific!
Bryan - Last night we stayed with our 2nd host family for the first time. My host family is very nice. There is a mom, dad, sister (17), and brother (15). The brother left right after school to go to juku (cram school), having only about 15 minutes to eat. I did not see my host father until the next morning because of his work schedule. In the morning, we ate together and went to the train station for school.
