2007 Photo Album

This is our 16-day adventure (June 9-25). There are 9 parts of this album. We have about 5000 pictures. Please let us share our days in Japan.

The places we visited: Showa-Town (Saitama), Tokyo, Yokohama, Kyoto, Nara, Osaka and Hiroshima. Our host-families were wonderful! Thank you very much! Please sign our guestbook.

Part 1

Our journey started at Showa-Town (Saitama) which is Nagai-sensei's hometown. When we arrived at Tokyo for the first time we were amazed how many people are there!

Elementary School Visit

We visited Nakano Elementary School in Showa-town. We had such a great time with the elementary school students.

High School Visit

We visited Hakuyo High School in Yokohama and attended classes for the day. We went to calligraphy class and others, and we taught at the English class! Some people tried flower arrangement after lunch. We saw lots of after-school activities. We also spent one weekend with Hakuyo High School student's family. It is very important for us to know what Japanese teenagers think. Thank you very much for the opportunity.

Part 2

We left for the West side of Japan on the Bullet Train (Shinkansen). We always wanted to visit an old traditional city like Kyoto!

Part 3

Two of our favorite places are Hiroshima and Miyajima. We gained a great understanding of the A-Bomb museum. The temple in Miyajima (Daishoin) was amazing. Then back to Tokyo to stay at the Capsule hotel, which was a very unique experience.
