Hiroshima Peace park in rain

By Jemmy and Jake

Heavy rain today when we went to see the Hiroshima Peace Park.

Jemmy- The rain sucks! but it's a break from all the heat and humidity. anyway, today we walked around the hiroshima peace park, and i really think its been my favorite thus far. the park is so beautiful, even in the rain. this is better than shopping in yokohama. the a-bomb dome was breathtaking. the museum had SO much interesting facts, videos, and displays. in the west building of the museum was a human-like display of a japanese family; all of them with burnt arms and legs as a result of the radiation. ahhh! that caught my attn the most. and the museum also had displays of items of people who died; as well as a few touchable items like deformed (?) glass bottles and fused roof tiles. so much, so much! hiroshima is great.

Tuura- The rain would be more enjoyable if I didn't have to carry around a camera bag and my passport under a poncho. The peace park is really solemn. I went and stood in the river, It was very enjoyable. Then we proceeded to the peace park museum. there were so many sick things that I wont go into detail about...... buhhhhh gross. And now off to lunch!

Tuura again with the update on lunch- Now after lunch waiting for the train. Lunch was really good most of my main course was stuff I've never had before. I can't recall the names of the food, but to break it down for you people back home almost everyone on the trip had this meal that had deep fried sweet potatoe with some deep fried chicken chunks with egg on top, and lettuce. The sides were: some sauce for the lettuce, soup with deep fried tofu and little onion rings, pickled white radishes, and a bowl of rice which the egg went good with when mixed in. As for drinks some had water the rest got soda and the main soda of choice was Melon Fanta.
