Osaka and Nara Buddha

By Kevin and Anna

Kevin - We met our Osaka host families last night. my family is really nice. I kind of live by mike, less than a block away. last night after dinner, it was somehow lost in translation how much I liked to shower. since my family doesn't have a shower, they brought me over to mike's house to take one. I was fine with taking a bath at my house, but they took me to mike's. I was just scratching my head the whole time, wondering how I had managed to get in this position. anyways this morning we went to Osaka castle and it was very cool. we weren't supposed to video tape the 3rd and 4th floor but we snuck the camera around and filmed the armor and swords. now we are on our way to Nara to see the big Buddha. it should be interesting. and, since there are a lot of deer near that temple, that aren't scared of people, I'm going to try to get as many as I can to chase me around. wish me luck!

Anna- well, uh we had some free time this afternoon. everyone got some lunch and could go shopping if they wanted to. it was like a big outdoor mall. it was cool, but a lot of the clothes were expensive. I had fun though. I'm looking forward to seeing the big Buddha the most.
