Meditation and Kiyomizu Temple

By Everyone

Emily- I also enjoyed getting hit by the Las Vegas loving monk. I thought it hurt though. Later that day, we went to Kiyomizudera - the love temple. According to belief, if you walk with your eyes closed from love stone to love stone, you will have luck in your love life. It's difficult because when your eyes are closed, it's really hard to walk straight. I made it though! yay for my love life.

Sarah - it was sweet getting hit by the monk with a stick. I feel so enlightened. in reality, it was really relaxing.

Anna-don't wear a skirt to meditation.

Bryan - I had an interesting couple of days. Yesterday, I got my fortune at the Love Temple. I received "most horrific fate," so that was kind of a downer. That night, Drew and I met a 20-something guy from Alabama asking if we knew where to spend the night cheap. He said he met a 52 year old man in Nara two weeks ago, and has since been touring the Japanese countryside with him. Today was our free day, and I went to the Golden Temple where my camera broke, realizing my "horrific luck." When we came back, though, sensei gave me her camera for the rest of the trip, because her and her husband each have one. Apparently, I am now square with the cosmos.

Mike - Kiyomizudera has a lot of steps.

Kevin - just a quick note. Racing up 14 flights of stairs at Kyoto station is not a good idea.

Jay - (after running up 14 flights of stairs, trying to keep up with Kevin and Larry):SOMEBODY HELP! I CAN'T FEEL MY LEGS!
